Scythe Starter Kit

This is a great way to get started with scythe mowing. Includes everything you need:

• your choice of a 60 or 70cm scythe blade,
• a durable metal snath with adjustable handles,
• a D-ring to attach the blade to the snath,
• a peening hammer and anvil, for maintaing your blade,
• a scythe stone and stone carrier with belt clip, for regular honing while you mow,
• a copy of our best Scything guide book with clear guidance for usage, technique, and maintenance

For blade length: longer lengths will be more productive mowing delicate or shorter vegetation (such as a hay field) and on flat areas, while shorter blades may be easier to work in tougher material (like goldenrod, for example) and/or on slopes. 

SHW blades and snaths are made in Germany, the peening hammer and anvil are from Slovenia, and the stone is made in China. This kit may require some minor assembly.
